She suggested that Substack may have an algorithm that unsubscribes free subscribers, perhaps especially when they have many subscriptions and would not notice. My subscribers have dropped a LOT (400 people) since the beginning of November. This never happened before. And I and others have been unsubscribed from some of our subscriptions in the past.

Below the number of unique visitors has not dropped. However, my posts average 25,000 views each, and they don’t tell me what the colors mean, so take this for what it is worth.
New subscribers suddenly dropped despite a few posts (on Hatfill and Trump/Epstein/Israel) being very popular. Below the reported number of new subscribers.
