The US is the land of political assassinations–which have shifted our political trajectory in very bad directions, over and over. RIP another martyr, Charlie Kirk
Some entity decided Charlie Kirk was too powerful a force to allow his work to continue.
Charlie Kirk liked to debate, and debate respectfully. No subject was off the table. By doing so with wit and grace he bridged the gap between what we still call “right” and “left”—although those terms have lost their traditional meaning in today’s mixed up world. He was only 31. What heights he might have achieved had he been allowed to continue.
The powers that be do not want that gap bridged. They are constantly seeking to widen it. White against black. Oppressed women against men. Criminals against the law-abiding. Citizens against “undocumented” immigrants. Taxpayers against the half of us receiving federal benefits.
Those powers that be keep producing content to set us against each other. No matter what the issue is. Calls for violence in response to this assassination are mostly coming from them and their bot teams.
It is said that Martin Luther King was not considered a major threat to the establishment as long as his non-violent protests confined themselves to relatively powerless black people. But once he started protesting the Vietnam war and making common cause with youth and with the many (of all races and nationalities) who saw no American justification for the war, he was gunned down at age 38, in 1968. [The American public only later learned that Vietnam had offshore oil, and the “Domino Theory” was just another false narrative.]
Robert F. Kennedy (Senior), US Attorney General at 35, opposed the Vietnam War, was one of those who made poverty an issue, and found common cause with blacks. Posing a real threat of winning the presidency in 1968 at the age of 43 with a massive coalition behind him, he too was gunned down at point blank range while campaigning.
Both these two assassinations were managed by elements of the CIA. We have never been allowed to find out via government officials who gave the orders nor why. The same is true of the JFK assassination.
The professionalism of the hit and the ease with which Charlie Kirk’s shooter escaped at least suggest a carefully planned attack with knowledgeable logistical help: telltale signs of a 3 letter agency at work. However, Charlie Kirk was a colleague and friend of the President. Was this conducted by another rogue group within the Company, or might it be persons who had graduated from the Agency, who are responsible for this hit?
Mr. Kirk had ambitious ideas.

Mr. Kirk never sought a position within the administration. Instead, it became clear over the last year that his ambition was for something much larger: reshaping the Republican Party and, beyond that, American politics itself.
“We want to transform the culture,” he told The New York Times Magazine in February.
… He proved to be a captivating speaker and an extremely capable debater, with a gift for bringing coherence to the president’s often logically fraught statements.
…Turning Point grew rapidly, adding dozens of campus chapters a year and largely displacing older conservative youth organizations like Young Americans for Freedom. He not only brought high-profile right-wing speakers to colleges; he also provided training, networking and organizing, in the process creating a tight web of activists and future politicos.
He proved adept at packaging his public appearances with slick backdrops and high-value productions. He gave his speaking tours names: the “Exposing Critical Racism” (2021), “You’re Being Brainwashed” (2024).
… This spring, Mr. Kirk was the first guest to appear on a new podcast hosted by Gavin Newsom, the Democratic governor of California. [Trying to bridge the gap—this cannot stand.—Nass]
And he continued to build his support among young voters with his “American Comeback” tour, which brought him to Utah Valley University on Wednesday. Several hundred ecstatic onlookers cheered as he took the stage. He sat down and began to speak. Then came the sound of a gunshot.
The NY Times cannot lose its nasty spin, even right after a major, tragic assassination. Others said 3,000 people were listening to Charlie as the shot rang out. But the Times noted only several hundred. There is no sense of tragedy, of lost youth, in the Times’ reportage.
The Times even made it sound at first glance that Mr. Kirk died of natural causes. You had to read the subhead to learn he had been shot.

Forget the reliable and hateful propaganda of the Times and most of the MSM.
Let us instead strive to Bridge the Gap in Charlie’s honor. Let us be better human beings. Let us listen respectfully to others, like he did, and engage with them as equals. Let’s strive to end the manufactured partisanship that is tearing our country apart. Let’s love each other again. Let’s repair ourselves, our relationships and our nation.
