https://twitter.com/Emily_Burns_V/status/1494047959184556033 To my Governor, Janet Mills, every day you delay lifting the mandates the more votes you lose in November. It will have to be done, and soon. Do it now. You claim to be leading us on a “New Direction for Maine.” It requires a U-Turn, Janet. And stop blaming the hospitals for the…
Julie Gerberding moved to Merck Vaccines last month and CDC simultaneously decided to focus on cervical cancer. What a coincidence! The only cancer mentioned on CDC’s home page is cervical cancer, and a chart of cervical cancer incidence by ethnicity is the only statistical information on the home page. CDC says, “The PAP test and…
Someone got inhalation anthrax along the old west cattle trail. This is where cattle in decades past were herded, and sometimes died of anthrax. When that happened, the spores entered the soil and even today emerge periodically, during extreme weather conditions, to reinfect cattle. Only problem is, they do not reinfect humans. The spores only…
Thanks to Coffee and COVID, Jeff Childers’ Substack, and Congressman Tom Massie, for identifying how CDC quietly removes the misinformation it has been spreading.
The Atlanta Journal Constitution tells us that Atlanta’s large public hospital, Grady Memorial, is requiring that seasonal flu shots be given to all employees. “Several factors led Emory officials to make taking the seasonal flu vaccine mandatory — protecting patients and providing a safe environment for workers; the fact that the seasonal flu and swine…

But amid increasing misinformation about the drug’s ability to both treat and prevent COVID-19, that number has increased to six this year.” This alarming news was…

Proposed bill says: [II. Licensed pharmacists following standing orders may dispense ivermectin to persons in this state without a prior prescription. Pharmacies may charge a fee for consultation with the patient.]
Dr. Nass, please correct if I am wrong. . . Standing Order in this matter means that if an MD or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provides to [issues] a particular pharmacy, or a pharmacy chain, a Standing Order to dispense Ivermecting; then: pharmacist "may dispense" it without a prescription.
Is this accurate? and isn't this, a Standing Order, what allows pharmacies to, say, inject the covid shots? and vaccines?
In other words, it is a general order to a pharmacy, viz. a particular drug, in this case, IVT, yes?
Thanks,
Jim

my understanding is that a state health official who can prescribe will issue a statewide standing order, as is done for Narcan, allowing pharmacies to dispense the drug without a prescription written speciically for that individual. Vaccine programs may be conducted under a similar umbrella authority in some places.
However, the bill ran into some trouble today. But it only requires a majority vote in the Senate.
