There are 2 errors in what I posted below about the forensic analysis discussed in Professor Jacques Ravel’s slides. The first correction is that the over 1,100 samples submitted to the FBI were screened for genotypic differences, and may not have been screened for morphologic differences. The second error is that the slides say wild-type…
From Global Security Newswire, including material from the Frederick News-Post: The fact that Ivins kept very late laboratory hours in the days before the letters were mailed is not as unusual as the FBI contends, said former USAMRIID head of bacteriology Gerry Andrews. Ivins was working on multiple projects at the time could have kept…
Three videos tell the tale. Klaus Schwab bragged about infiltrating the Cabinets, but when a member of Parliament in Canada asked which members of the Canadian Cabinet were WEF graduates (we already know about Trudeau and Freeland), not only was his audio cut off, but another MP accused him of spreading MISinformation. That word is…
Many older vaccines are already approved for this coming flu season, while many others remain in development. Some have been promised to the public despite complete lack of human trials of the COVID Omicron BA. 4 and BA. 5 variants. It is amusing to watch the media, citing CDC, try to push as many vaccines…
CDC just published new guidelines for treatment of anthrax exposure and anthrax disease in pregnancy and the postpartum period. It is said the guidelines are based on meetings “of national subject matter experts to review key clinical elements of anthrax prevention and treatment for pregnant, postpartum, and lactating (P/PP/L) women.” A lot of effort was made…

I’ve been thinking about how the FBI should have approached the case.
It’s pretty simple: look for spores. The perp unavoidably left a trail of spores: a ton of spores where the anthrax was made (and/or where the envelopes were filled), likely spores in the perp’s car, etc. We know that the letters were leaking spores like crazy, despite being sealed with tape.
There are a limited number of likely places where the anthrax could have been made, a limited number of people who could have done it. The FBI could have checked every likely place (including USAMRIID of course) and every likely person’s car for spores and cracked the case within a matter of days.
As they say in the comic books, “that would have been too easy”.
The only thing the FBI still has right now is that Bruce Ivins was in mental health treatment and the public’s ignorance about that.
Bruce Ivins showed good insight into his situation and did exactly what you’re supposed to do when you realize that your thinking is off. He sought treatment and he reached out to friends.
He’s not the type of person that was so unaware of his challenges that he could just act out all over other people. The FBI can’t have it both ways, although they do try.
FBI had, then tossed anthrax type used in attacks
