While waiting for our group bicycle ride to get underway this morning, some of the other riders were chatting and for some reason the conversation turned to Jonestown — the cult in Guyana whose members committed mass suicide in 1978 (over 900 died).
One of the riders commented in all seriousness, "I can't believe the people let themselves get so brainwashed to do that!"
The same thing might be said about the vaccinations in the here and now.
