The COUP appears to have failed, while all the apparatchiks are still in place. A preliminary proposal to fix the mess.
I’ll assume you have been reading my blog and agree with me that an attempt at gaining world domination is at this very moment failing. It required a deadly pandemic, vaccines that actually worked, and the ability to snooker billions of people into believing that the responses of the government were logical, beneficial and well-intentioned….

Herd immunity, novel vaccines, Pharma incentives and media spin
The US is again suffering from a lot of Covid cases, and we are on a steep upward trajectory. While some are definitely due to false positive tests, which are extremely common, there are still a lot of cases. Using the numbers from CovidTracking (which I noticed the NYT was also using) it appears that…
Medical societies fight CMS efforts to make CME funding more transparent
On February 9, 2012, I wrote about how Merck manages to evade FDA regulations on advertising by funneling money through third party intermediaries: educational institutions and education/PR companies. These third parties then pay doctors to provide advertising to other professionals in the form of continuing medical education. Merck can then have the doctors speak about…
Too little, too late: Disband the CDC now/ NY Post
Has the tide turned? Not yet, because the anger would be deafening. But the ship is slowly turning. People are realizing the incredible lies they have been told by government and all mainstream media. It starts with the NY Post but it won’t end there… See how the CDC issued worthless new recommendations last week,…
G-7 and Mexico choose pregnant women but omit kids under 5 for earliest vaccinations/AP
Associated Press In accord with what we’ve learned from the mortality data, the G-7 plus Mexico group chose to omit children, but include pregnant women, in the group most at risk of death or severe illness from swine flu infection: those who should be offered vaccination first. Wedded to its earlier pronouncements, however, CDC continues…

Meryl, do you have any sense of what the percentage is (% visits for ILI) that the health departments declare is flu season? Some of us are tired of the charade of wearing masks at work.
The links in the sidebar don't work (e.g. to your paper on anthrax in Zimbabwe)
According to CDC's FluView, the %ili last week was under 3%–and flu was only widespread in NJ, VT and NV.
But according to state epidemiologist opinions (characterized by the final graphic on the page) the flu remained widespread almost everywhere last week.
Another way of looking at the mask issue is in reference to a recent flu vaccine efficacy estimate of 46%.
If 54% of HCWs who were vaccinated are not protected, why aren't vaccinated HCWs wearing masks too?
But of course there are no studies showing the masks prevent nosocomial spread. They are simply a punitive measure to enforce vaccinations of uncertain benefit and risk.
I will try and replace the broken link this weekend. The Zimbabwe paper should be accessible. Sorry.
